THE FLYING DICTIONARY

An Unparalleled Primer
Captivating reading for anyone fascinated by aviation,
and for those thinking of learning to fly or concerned
with aviation and safety.

Both books are primers bringing together essential background knowledge while keeping the reader engrossed.

Air Crashes and Miracle Landings is similar in some aspects to the intriguing National Geographic Channel’s, Air Accident Investigations TV series, except that in written form it can delve deeper into the human factors and technical causes. For pilots, it puts into perspective the many incidents alluded to in their training.

The Flying Dictionary was originally the glossary and appendix, where the intention was to explain the technical points as simply as possible. The author decided to publish them separately (in much expanded form) on seeing how interesting people were finding them. Some non-aviation terms have been included for the benefit of younger readers and others interested in matters, such as security, associated with aviation.
